Young Adults (Living & Active)

'Living & Active' - the young adult ministry
Sunday nights / 5:00 - 7:15 p.m.
Our church's young adult group (open to ages 18-45) is called "Living & Active." The name comes from Hebrews 4:12 ("the Word of God is living & active...") and describes what we want our faith and lives to look like. We seek to be a nurturing and open-minded group of young Christians who are on a journey with God, trying to make our faith matter in our own lives and others'. The "shoeprint" theme you see in our image is representative of this desire to do real ministry in the world, and we talk about how we make "footprints of grace" in our lives.
Our regular, weekly meeting is on Sunday evenings at the church. We start with dinner at 5:45 and then meet from 6:15 - 7:15 with childcare provided. We use this time for a variety of things including Bible study & discussion, projects & planning, and social time.
We also currently have a handbell ensemble that meets before dinner (5:00-5:45) for anyone interested.
Occasionally, special mission projects or outings will bring us together at other times during the year besides Sunday nights.
Our Sunday night group is for all young adults and we do not separate groups of different life stages (for example, single vs. married or parents vs. non-parents). We feel that there is much we can learn from each others' perspectives, and we have plenty of other opportunities to be close to those with whom we have more in common.
Don't hesitate to contact the church office for more information.
